Public-site privacy notice
Privacy
The academy collects only the information needed to create and protect an account, honor email choices and preserve a learner's work. It does not request customer documents or connect to a customer Microsoft tenant.
Who operates the academy
Magnetta LLC operates the Manufacturing AI Academy through the Magnetta AI brand. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to brad@magnettaai.com.
Account and security information
Registration stores the normalized email address, an internal user identifier, pending account status, authorization role and the policy versions shown with the registration choice. Newsletter enrollment and active membership begin only after the email link is verified. Secure sign-in records store one-way token hashes, expiration and consumption times. Sessions use an opaque cookie and a one-way database hash. Network identifiers used for abuse protection are keyed one-way hashes rather than raw addresses.
Consent, preferences and optional profile
Terms acknowledgement, Privacy Notice acknowledgement and newsletter permission are separate, versioned events. A later newsletter unsubscribe does not remove academy access. Name, company, role, region, manufacturing segment, employee range, aerospace relevance, Microsoft 365 usage, learning interest and delivery preference are optional and can be removed from the account page.
Learning, attribution and service providers
The account retains progress, synthetic exercise artifacts, feedback, certificates and allow-listed campaign or partner attribution. Academy records are stored in Magnetta's local application database on its hosted VM. Authentication email is delivered through Magnetta's VM-local mailer using the Gmail API. Newsletter changes enter a separate outbox and never determine continued account access. When inquiry email delivery is enabled, a controlled notification goes to Magnetta; the application does not place the inquiry description in routine logs or analytics.
Learning analytics and lesson feedback
Product analytics use an allow-listed event schema and a keyed pseudonymous subject. Events do not contain email addresses, certificate display names, inquiry descriptions, artifact bodies, customer documents, lesson answers, credentials or tenant details. Helpful and Not helpful lesson feedback is optional, remains separate from newsletter permission and sales outreach, and is deleted when the account is deleted or 24 months after the response was last updated, whichever comes first.
Expiration, deletion and retained evidence
Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and work once. Sessions expire after seven days. Expired authentication records and unverified registrations are removed after 30 days; abuse-control buckets are removed after one day. Closed or inactive inquiries and pseudonymous product events are reviewed on a 24-month schedule. Operational logs are limited and will use a 30-day rolling schedule for the alpha. Encrypted off-VM backups, once enabled, will use a 30-day rolling schedule.
Account deletion removes identity, authentication, profile, progress, artifacts, feedback and certificates from the active database. Consent evidence is retained without the email or account identifier. Inquiry records are stripped of account, profile and free-text fields. An encrypted newsletter-suppression operation may be retained for no more than 30 days while a provider processes it. Earlier product events may remain only as pseudonymous history that cannot be joined to an academy account. A deleted record may remain in a rotating encrypted backup until that backup expires; a recovery must reapply deletion and suppression records before reopening.
Newsletter choice and unsubscribing
Creating an alpha account currently requires the separate, unchecked newsletter choice shown on the registration form. You can unsubscribe at any time from the account page or by emailing brad@magnettaai.com. Unsubscribing does not remove academy access. Magnetta may still send authentication, security, account and specifically requested service messages. Marketing newsletters will not begin until each message includes Magnetta's valid postal address and a tested unsubscribe method.
Your choices and requests
The account page lets you change newsletter permission, edit or remove optional profile information, and delete the account. You may also ask to access, correct, export or delete academy information by emailing brad@magnettaai.com. Magnetta will verify the request using the account email, target a response within 45 days, and explain if a request cannot be completed. Do not send identity documents or sensitive company data with the initial request.
Information not requested
Do not submit customer documents, drawings, specifications, export-controlled information, CUI, PHI, credentials, tokens, production data or other sensitive material. The academy has no general upload control and its optional profile is not a place for company process details.
External links and changes
Public resources may link to source material operated by other organizations; their privacy practices apply after you leave this site. If Magnetta materially changes what the academy collects or how it uses information, the notice version and effective date will change. Professional legal review remains recommended before broad promotion or materially expanded data use.
